.update whunn

Fixed the broken links. Working on the new Kaki King album, as promised. Many thanks to Jem - I didn't know it existed. Having trouble finding a good news story to cover, if you have any ideas let me know, row row, fight the power, whatever. I hate feminists - what arrogant, stupid bitches they all are. Then again...well, neveryoumind.

Cherries, strawberries, raspberries. Their skin just gives so easily. But that's another story, and I don't want to be monotonous, tool science, just breathe, breathe. The sweet relief is a must. There is nothing more to this than you allow. If you get a chance, find Leo in the sky and take a picture. He's been in a good mood of late.

fact: this is not a constellation.

Mogwai - Rock Action

Rock Action is the third full-length studio album by Scottish post-rock band Mogwai. This band typically composes lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects. Their style has been influenced by bands including Dirty Three, Joy Division, Pink Floyd, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and post-rock pioneers Slint, in addition to having easily identifiable connections to genres like shoegaze, math rock, art rock and occasionally instrumental metal.

Rock Action brought with it some changes to Mogwai's sound that they would continue to develop later, including the use of electronic instruments. While song structures on this CD are typical of the band in most cases and respects, some of the contrasting dynamics have been toned down slightly and many of the songs focus more on texture than on structure.

"Teen files charges against mother for manipulating his Facebook page."

This crap is one of the top-viewed stories on Yahoo! News. In summary - kid gets upset because he mother takes it upon herself to edit his Facebook page, removing what she deems inappropriate. Mother is aghast when kid decides to sue her. Kid says mother posted "slander" about his personal life, oh, and committed the unspeakable crime of changing his password.

You've gotta be KIDDING me.

Am I missing something here? My parents would monitor my email, profiles - and the like - when I was sixteen. Since when did it become a crime for parents to do so?

More importantly, how did this story take precedence over the stuff that's really important?

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F♯A♯∞

F♯A♯∞ (pronounced "F-sharp, A-sharp, Infinity") is the debut album of the Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The band is perhaps best known for their lengthy instrumental songs and large membership. With nine semi-permanent members, they create prolonged tracks which utilize short movements, wide volume changes, and numerous recorded and sampled sounds. Studio albums typically contain no more than five songs, and often omit the band's name and track titles from the cover and artwork.

Stylistically, this album is devoid of traditional lyrics and mostly instrumental, featuring lengthy songs segmented into movements and wide dynamics.

2. East Hastings (17:58)
3. Providence (29:02)
